Inflammatory Disease (autoimmune disease)

Inflammatory Disease (autoimmune disease)

When our body decides there is something that needs to be attacked in our body but no infection or trauma is found … and yet our body continues to attack particular cells.

The symptoms often include swelling, heat, pain and loss of function and can affect any part of our body.

Symptoms of inflammation may include:

  • Joint pain
  • Chest pain
  • Mouth sores
  • Fatigue
  • Rashes
  • Muscle pain
  • Abdominal pain

The most well known inflammatory diseases (auto immune disease) include :

  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Vasculitis
  • Crohn’s Disease
  • Colitis
  • Ankylosing Spondylitis
  • Lupus

When inflammation lasts for more than a few months it can cause lasting damage to muscle joints or organs.

Our immune system has the job of identifying and defending against invaders in our body.  Immune diseases are recognised when our body continues to attack unknown (unseen) invaders.  We usually assume there is nothing for our body to attack and it is attacking when there is no known cause.

In order to find the cause of the disruption, we must therefore look at what was happening before the inflammation began and see if we can identify what might have been the cause of the disturbance.  To do this you need to book a consultation with a homeopath to be able to treat constitutionally and address the whole picture.

The homeopathic remedies that will be useful in reducing your symptoms will depend on how you experience your symptoms.

Here is a list of remedies to consider:
